MINNEAPOLIS, MN (August 19, 2024) – With new styles from OGI, Red Rose by OGI, Seraphin, and Seraphin Shimmer, OGI Eyewear is continuing its colorful story of unique and crafted eyewear celebrating independence and optical independents.
Fun looks good on everyone, and OGI Eyewear believes that every face is deserving of a frame that makes you feel confident and fully yourself. With evolutions of fan favorite frames, more large sizes, and fresh style elements, OGI Eyewear is expanding its reach with new releases.
“As the seasons pass, we have really focused on creating new styles that keep OGI Eyewear fresh and fun for optical professionals and their patients,” shares David Duralde, Chief Creative Officer. “This season, we continued to dive into color schemes that balance bold yellows and greens with nuanced and versatile palettes. At the same time, we’ve been playing with combinations of metal and acetate, honing in on the made-in-Japan quality of each frame. These are styles that last, and that are fun to wear every day.”
OGI is telling a thematic story this season, delving into Minnesota culture and contemporary fashion. Artsy and Sculpture Garden are two sibling styles that embody the funky, fresh side of Minneapolis, with bold acetate frames that bring painterly palettes to standout angular shapes. Many Thanks and its extended size doppelgänger Much Obliged offer fun updates to complement the beloved Thanks Much frame. This season is a continuation of balancing playfulness and wearability to create styles that bring fun to every outfit, never overpowering the personality behind the frame.
Red Rose by OGI is bringing moments of vibrant color to sleek yet dramatic profiles. Upswept eyes and airy acetate in Vita, and artful shapes come together with powerful hues in Cassina and Sardinia.
Our capsule collections continue to shine with Shimmer’s releases. Whether adding texture to the temple in Shimmer 53 and Shimmer 54 or accenting upswept eyes in 51 and 35, the sprays of crystal elevate classic styles to the realm of tasteful glamour.
Seraphin remains a grounded, lush collection with a combination of polished acetate styles like Shamrock and elegant metal shapes like Oakview and Parkwood. Meticulous detail and rich pigments create a timeless and sophisticated feel for these frames, ensuring a luxurious attitude for every outfit.
As OGI Eyewear’s fluid evolution continues, the grounding qualities of passion and creativity flow from dedicated leaders David Duralde, along with Chief Sales Officer Cynthia McWilliams and CEO Rob Rich. As an optical design house, OGI Eyewear has no shortage of vision in these leaders, who bring experience, innovation, and energy to the frames, the customer support, and the industry as a whole.
